Certification of card products, ATM and POS to card schemes
To improve the implementation or certification process with international card schemes (ICS) and to optimize the interaction between BORICA and banks in such projects, BORICA has established a procedure for coordinating projects between the parties.
When a project is initiated by a bank with the International Card Schemes (ICS), BORICA AD offers complete coordination of the project from its start to its successful completion. For this purpose, BORICA AD appoints a project coordinator who assists the bank in completing all necessary forms and documents, manages and distributes project activities, provides expert consultations, plans and monitors the testing process, informs and coordinates with the relevant departments in BORICA AD regarding the necessary configurations and parameterizations of systems related to the service.
The benefits of this service include:
- A single point of contact throughout the entire project
- Expert assistance during the implementation
- Improved timeline planning, leading to reduced costs for the bank associated with ICS
Certification of POS Terminals
The introduction of a new POS terminal for operation within the BORICA system involves a certification process, performed based on an agreement with the vendor. Terminals must comply with the following requirements:
- Be certified under the PCI PTS Device Program
- Be listed in the catalog of certified devices available at: https://www.pcisecuritystandards.org/approved_companies_providers/approved_pin_transaction_security.php
- If the POS terminal uses an external keyboard (PinPad), it must also be included in the list of PCI DSS certified devices
- Key loading in the POS terminal must follow the interface developed by BORICA. Documentation for this interface is provided upon signing a POS certification agreement
