Renewal of B-Trust Electronic Signatures after 1 July 2017

“BORICA-BANKSERVICE” AD informs its clients - holders of B-Trust electronic signature that as of 1 July 2017 all electronic signatures will be renewed by generating a new key pair and issuing Qualified Certificates for Qualified Electronic Signatures (QCQES) from the new certification chain of the Provider.

The renewed electronic signature will have a new serial number, while the verified information for the Titular in it remains unchanged.

Also, the renewed electronic signature is subject to a new registration in the applications it has been used up to now.

The change is required by the Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 July 2014 on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the internal market. It became effective as of 1 July 2016. The Regulation and the associated with it ETSI standards (https://portal.etsi.org/TBSiteMap/ESI/ESIActivities.aspx) require the creation of a new certification chain with a SHA256RSA signing algorithm and an algorithm for calculating SHA256 hash.
