BORICA AD is looking to hire a Senior Risk Analytics Officer at Anti-fraud and AML Services Directorate

We are seeking a Senior Risk Analytics Officer to support and enhance our risk management framework through advanced data analysis, risk modeling, and regulatory compliance. The role is positioned in our Anti-fraud and AML services Directorate.

This role requires deep expertise in risk analytics, data modeling and interpretation, SQL database structures and querying, anti-fraud systems parametrization and risk rules building.

Key Responsibilities:

• Have in depth understanding of card and payment fraud and payments ecosystems;
• At least 2 years of experience of risk rules building and analysis via automated risk engine;
• Develop, implement, and enhance risk analytics models to identify and measure fraud risks;
• Perform in-depth risk analysis using SQL querying and provide summarized output;
• Act as a risk consultant in suggesting solutions of fraud issues to the clients of the company;
• Utilize statistical techniques and predictive modeling to improve risk forecasting and decision-making;
• Monitor and analyze key risk indicators (KRIs) and recommend risk mitigation strategies of the clients of BORICA AD;
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in regards to the Anti-Fraud services offered by BORICA AD;
• Prepare and present risk reports to senior management and the clients of BORICA AD;
• Lead initiatives to enhance automation and efficiency in risk data processing and reporting;
• Stay updated on Card Scheme requirements, industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks in the financial sector.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field;
• At least 3+ years of experience in risk analytics, financial risk management, or a related role in the banking or fintech sector;
• Strong proficiency in data analytics tools such as SQL, Python, R, or SAS. At least 3 years of experience with SQL;
• Experience with risk modeling techniques and fraud scenario analysis;
• In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and risk management frameworks (e.g., VISA and MasterCard Programs, Basel III, IFRS 9, AML regulations);
• In-depth knowledge of EU payments and data protection regulations (e.g. PDS2, GDPR, etc.);
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data;
• Strong communication skills to present findings and recommendations effectively;
• Experience working with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau is an advantage;
• Professional certifications such as CFE, CAMS, ICA, FRM, PRM, or CFA are a plus.
